Cooling off

Things are cooling off, but the fun isn't over yet. There's still time for you to come join the fun! There's shadow puppetry, Baruzula, and music. Don't let the CircX pass you by!

CircX is Home

There are so many different kinds of people here. There's a big group watching the fire dancers, but there are smaller groups scattered all over the yard. Some are just talking, others are dancing. There's a group from the Summer Youth Theatre Program hanging out in the cafe. A friend of mine who has never been to the Vortex or to CircX before tonight told me that she LOVES this place and feels like she's come home! Yay for the Vortex and for the free circus for the people! This is absolutely the place to be!

Polaris Tribe

The crowd has had to back up a little -- the Polaris Tribe is doing fire dancing and nobody wants their hair singed. Fire is spinning and the people are in awe. It's quite a sight lighting up the yard at the Vortex.

Trapeze

The trapeze artist is phenomenal. The crowd is having a blast. There are adults, kids, goths, hippies, nerds, hipsters, dogs.....everyone is welcome! Come out to the free circus for the people -- we still have a couple of hours left!

You missed it!

Wow - if you weren't here, you totally missed it! Andy was performing on the lyra and his pants got stuck on the hoop, so he just took them off and finished the performance in his, very stylish, red undies! :o)

Still More Fun to Come

There's still lots more fun to come! Find your way out here and watch Sky Candy Aerials --- they're just getting started. And there's trapeze, fire arts, and more bellydance after that!

Doesn't this look like fun???? You know you want to come join in!

And besides the outdoor entertainment, you can have your face painted by Melissa, your tarot cards read by Thursdayschilde (thursdayschilde@yahoo.com), or your portrait painted by Topher (www.tophersipes.com).

Sky Candy Aerial

You don't want to miss Sky Candy --- the parking lot might be a little full, but there's plenty of room here at the circus!

Minor Mishap Marching Band!

I love these guys! Check out their facebook page -- they play around town all the time and they always make you feel like you've joined the carnival! Pictures to come --- as soon as my photographer gets back to me with the camera!

Wow -- and now we're getting two for the price of one! Sky Candy Aerials is performing along with Minor Mishap! Double Bonus!

For all the photos I've taken tonight, you should check out the CircX Vortex facebook page. There are way too many to upload all of them here.

More photos

Here are some photos of the action so far. We're having a great time --- and even have bug spray to share! Come enjoy!

Here's me

Here's me.....doing what I do.....blogging....come talk to me while you're at the CircX!

Cranking up the CircX

Here's what will greet you when you come in the door of CircX.

And here's the first band: Boonesboro. Come join the fun!

July 25 CircX

The rain hasn't slowed us down! Everybody come on out and have some fun! Technical difficulties and the rain have slowed us down a bit, so you still have plenty of time to get to the Vortex!

One more pic of things getting set up and the crowd. We're all having a great time!
